WATER USE REGULATIONS

13.12.010 Right to cut off service.
The city reserves the right at any time to cut off the water in the mains, without notice. [1919 Comp. §87].
13.12.020 Payment by renters.
Parties renting whole premises and subrenting will be required to pay the water rent for the whole premises. [1919 Comp. §88].
13.12.030 Inspection prior to turning on of water.
No water will be turned on on any premises until the work is inspected and found satisfactory and in conformance to all these rules. [1919 Comp. §90].
13.12.040 Right of entry.
The inspector or other properly authorized officer shall be admitted at all reasonable hours, in accordance with PMC 1.08.010, to all parts of any premises supplied with city water to see that these regulations are observed, and consumers shall answer frankly and truly all questions concerning the use of water that the inspector may ask them. 13.12.050 City nonliability.
It is expressly understood and agreed that the city is not liable, under any circumstances, for a deficiency or failure in the supply of water, whether by shutting off of water to make repairs or connections or for any cause whatsoever. [1919 Comp. §92].
13.12.060 Nonpayment of water rent upon vacating remises.
When any user of city water vacates the premises occupied by him or her without paying his water rent in full to date of vacation, and removes to another building in the city or reoccupies the same premises, it is unlawful for such person to take or use city water until he or she has paid all back water rent and the sum of one dollar in advance for the current month. 13.12.070 Sprinkling lawns.
No water shall be used for sprinkling laws except when conveyed through a sprinkling device to spray the water or when sprayed by use of a spray nozzle; and no water shall be used for sprinkling when forbidden by resolution of the city council. [Ord. 333 §3, 1956].
