SEWER TRAPS

13.44.010 Required.
Every sink, basin, bath, toilet, urinal and each set of washtubs and other fixtures of similar kind shall be separately equipped with a trap of a type commonly used in plumbing such vessels. [Ord. 358 §1, 1961].
13.44.020 Grease traps.
Every sink, basin or washtub in every restaurant or public eating place shall be equipped with a grease trap that is kept in good working order so it effectively collects and retains grease, and does not permit grease to enter the city sewer line. [Ord. 358 §2, 1961].
13.44.030 Sumps.
Every washrack, place where parts, machines, vehicles or automotive equipment is cleaned or some of the grease or dirt removed therefrom, and each steam cleaning plant, and each grease rack or place where oil is drained from crankcases shall be provided with a sump into which all of the water, liquids, grease and wastes drain, and the grease and debris shall be trapped by the use of a T within the sump, and the sump and trap shall be kept in good operating order at all times, and the waste, grease or oil not permitted to enter the city sewer line.
