13.40.010 Sewer service rates and charges.

The following rates and charges are fixed for sewage service and shall be subject to change from time to time by resolution of the city council:

A. Multi-unit dwellings, trailer parks, buildings containing more than one separate unit, and mixed-use (i.e., business plus residential) shall be $30.00 per month, per unit;

B. The main Palouse school building shall pay as per the following formula: (school population divided by five) divided by average household population times sewer rate. Where school population equals total number of full-time and part-time students and staff, average household population equals average persons per household from latest census; and sewer rate equals Palouse single-family residence rate.

C. Thirty dollars per month for all others. 13.40.015 Funding for sewer capital improvement fund and sewer reserve fund.

The following rates and charges for sewer capital improvement and sewer reserve shall be subject to change from time to time by resolution of the city council.

In addition to the monthly rates established for sewer service under PMC 13.40.010, the following surcharge shall be paid by sewer service customers, with $1.00 thereof to be allocated to the sewer capital improvement fund, and $17.00 thereof to be allocated to the sewer reserve fund:

A. Multi-unit dwellings, trailer parks, buildings containing more than one separate unit, and mixed-use (i.e., business plus residential) shall be $18.00 per month, per unit;

B. The main Palouse school building shall pay as per the following formula: (school population divided by five) divided by average household population times sewer rate, where school population equals total number of full-time and part-time students and staff; average household population equals average persons per household from latest census; and sewer rate equals Palouse single-family residence rate.

13.40.020 Delinquent date.

Commencing with the fifteenth day of January, 1986, and continuing thereafter, the water-sewer bill for the city water and/or city sewer service for a month is due and payable on the fifteenth day of the following month. [Ord. 341 §3, 1957].
