PUBLIC EMPLOYEES’ SOCIAL SECURITY

2.32.010 Extension of system to city employees.
This municipality shall become a participant in the Social Security System and the benefits of Old Age and Survivors’ Insurance shall be extended to its employees and officers. (Ord. 444 §1, 1952).
2.32.020 Execution and delivery of plan.
The mayor and city clerk/treasurer are authorized to execute and deliver to the Washington Department of Employment Security for its approval the plan or plans required under the provisions of RCW 41.48.050 for the Enabling Act and of the Social Security Act to extend coverage to the employees and officers of this municipality and do all other things necessary to that end. (Ord. 444 §2, 1952).
2.32.030 Payments into contribution fund.
The proper fiscal officers are authorized to make all required payments into the contribution fund established by the Enabling Act and to establish such system of payroll deductions from the salaries of employees and officers and may be necessary to their coverage under the Old Age and Survivors’ Insurance System. (Ord. 444 §3, 1952).
2.32.040 Implementation of system.
The proper officials of the municipality shall do all things necessary to the continued implementation of the system. (Ord. 444 §4, 1952).
2.32.050 Effective date of participation.
This municipality shall become a participant in the Social Security System effective as of July 1, 1952. (Ord. 444 §5, 1952).
