2.36.010 Council resolution required.
Before any real estate belonging to the city, or any personal property belonging to the city, shall be sold and transferred, a resolution therefore shall be introduced at a regular meeting of the city council directing the sale and transfer of the property. The resolution shall give the name of the grantee or purchaser and shall state the terms of sale and the time of payment or payments and shall include the consideration for the transfer, and shall, in addition thereto, direct the mayor to execute the necessary instruments on behalf of the city to make the necessary transfer, which instrument or instruments shall be attested under the city seal by the city clerk/treasurer. 2.36.020 Execution of transfer instruments.
Upon the passage of a resolution described in PMC 2.36.010 by a majority of the members of the city council, it shall be the duty of the mayor and the city clerk/treasurer to execute the necessary instruments to comply with the resolution necessary to make the transfer or transfers; and upon the execution of the instrument by the mayor and the clerk/treasurer under proper acknowledgments the instruments shall convey all the right, title and interest of the city in and to the property herein sought to be conveyed, provided this chapter does not affect in any manner the present manner of transfer of cemetery lots.
