MAYOR AND COUNCIL – COMPENSATION

1.08.010 Councilmembers – Compensation.

Councilmembers elected by the city of Ritzville shall receive a maximum of $100.00 per meeting not to exceed two meetings per month. (Ord. 836 § 2, 1990; Ord. 483 § 2, 1961).

1.08.020 Mayor – Compensation.

The salary of the mayor of the city of Ritzville, commencing January 1, 1990, shall not exceed the maximum sum of $500.00 per month. (Ord. 836 § 3, 1990; Ord. 589 § 2, 1975).

1.08.030 Effective date of compensation.

It is specifically understood that RCC 1.08.010 and 1.08.020 do not increase the salary of any of the councilmen presently on the council or the present mayor, but purport only to fix the fee for those councilmen and the mayor who are subsequently to be elected; the compensation to be paid from the time they take office. (Ord. 483 § 4, 1961).

1.08.040 Expenses incurred in discharge of official duties – Reimbursement.

The mayor and the members of the city council shall be reimbursed for actual expenses incurred in the discharge of their official duties upon the presentation of a claim therefor, and after allowance and approval thereof by the city council. (Ord. 355 § 2, 1941).
