7A.05.010 Alcoholic beverages.

It is unlawful to sell, open or possess alcoholic beverages in an open container, or consume any alcoholic beverage in a City of Sammamish open space, trail, park area, park facility or associated marine area except in the following designated areas subject to written approval by the director and under the following conditions:

(1) The sale and consumption of alcoholic beverages is permissible at designated indoor and outdoor locations within any City of Sammamish park area; provided, that the activities conform to the requirements of the Washington Liquor and Cannabis Board under RCW Title 66, now in effect and as subsequently amended; and

(2) The serving and consumption of alcoholic beverages shall be confined to the designated location; and

(3) Groups applying for special use permits for activities at which the consumption of alcoholic beverages is intended must meet the requirements of state law with respect to liquor permits as a precondition. During the course of the activity, the state liquor permit must be clearly displayed on site.

The director shall designate the locations where the activity is permissible. Any person violating provisions of this rule shall have committed a criminal misdemeanor. (Ord. O2021-531 § 3 (Att. A))

7A.05.020 Intoxication.

Being or remaining in, or loitering about in any City of Sammamish open space, trail, park area, facility, or associated marine area while in a state of intoxication is prohibited. Any person violating provisions of this rule shall have committed a criminal misdemeanor. (Ord. O2021-531 § 3 (Att. A))

7A.05.030 Underage drinking of alcoholic beverages.

It is unlawful for any person under the age of 21 years to acquire in any manner, consume, or have in the person’s possession any intoxicating liquor as defined by RCW 66.04.200. (Ord. O2021-531 § 3 (Att. A))

7A.05.040 Tobacco and related products.

No person in any City of Sammamish open space, trail, park area, park facility or associated marine area may light or vapor cigarettes, electric cigarettes, cigars, hookah pipes, or pipes of any kind. No person may use any tobacco products including, but not limited to, chewing tobacco. Any person violating provisions of this rule shall have committed a criminal misdemeanor. (Ord. 7A.05.050 Controlled substances.

The following provisions in the Sammamish Municipal Code are adopted by reference, now in effect and as subsequently amended: Chapter 69.05 SMC. (Ord. O2021-531 § 3 (Att. A))

7A.05.060 Marijuana use.

The following statute of the state of Washington is adopted by reference, now in effect and as subsequently amended: RCW 69.50.445. (Ord. O2021-531 § 3 (Att. A))
