TEMPORARY PERMITS

17.64.010 General requirements.
Upon finding that the peace, health and welfare of the neighbors and public in general will not be unreasonably impacted, the zoning administrator may permit temporary structures and uses not in conformance with this title. Such structures and uses may include contractor’s offices and equipment on construction sites, minor and incidental commercial events in residential areas, structures not meeting bulk restrictions for the housing of temporary projects, use of a trailer or recreational vehicle as a residence while a permanent residence is under construction, and other such special events requiring temporary flexibility. 17.64.020 Fees.

17.64.030 Procedure.
The procedure for a temporary permit application shall be as follows:
A. Applicant completes and submits to the planning department a temporary permit application form together with fee. The application form will establish the necessary information requirements.
B. The planning director judges whether the criteria established in Section 17.64.010 will be met and grants or denies accordingly, with time limitations and other conditions as necessary.
C. The decision of the planning director may be appealed to the hearing examiner pursuant to the procedures set forth in Chapter 2.90. (Ord. 1607-08 § 7(I), 2008: Ord. 1312-98 § 1 (part), 1998: Ord. 1013 § 4.04.03, 1985)
