DEFINITIONS

13.08.010 Definitions.
As used in this title, the following terms shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this chapter:
A. “Availability” means the city currently has the capacity to serve the connected unit.
B. “City of Sequim” means, in context, either the city or the official governing body of the city, including the city manager and city council exercising control and operation of the municipal water or sewer system.
C. “Standby rate” means a rate charged by the city for water and for sewer availability when city water is shut off but not disconnected. A standby rate is not available for sewer-only rate class customers.
D. “Water superintendent” means the official appointed by the city to superintend the construction, maintenance and operation of the municipal water system.
E. “Water collector” means the person or persons designated by the city to collect water rates. The word “person” wherever used in this title shall be held to mean and include natural persons of either sex and also associations, copartnerships and corporations, whether acting for or by themselves, or through or by a servant, agent or employee; the singular number shall be held and construed to include the plural and the masculine pronoun to include the feminine.
