SICK OR INJURED ANIMALS

7.08.010 Purpose.
To prevent the spreading of disease and to alleviate suffering of any animal, and to insure the health, safety and welfare of Skagit County residents. (Ord. R20020080 (part))
7.08.020 Humane disposal.
The animal control authority may dispose of sick or injured animals after having first obtained the approval of a qualified veterinarian, provided; if any animal has been in the custody of said animal control authority for a minimum period of 72 consecutive hours, then said animals may be humanely disposed of within the sole and exclusive discretion of the animal control authority without necessity of veterinary approval.
