Chapter 7.12
HUNTING

7.12.010 Prohibited.
It shall be unlawful for any person to hunt, take or kill any game birds, migratory birds, upland game birds, predatory birds, nongame birds or song birds, or any other kind of game or fowl, or to shoot, fire or discharge any firearms, gun, rifle, pellet gun or any pistol, revolver or hand gun or any type or character in or within the following described areas of Skagit County, to wit:
(1) An area lying north of Bayview State Park, more particularly described as follows:
Government Lots 1, 2 and 3, the W half of the NE quarter and the NW quarter of the SE quarter, and tidelands fronting thereon, all in Section 30, Township 35 N, R 3 E.W.M., situate in Skagit County, Washington, the same being generally described as that area lying N of the Bayview State Park to the Section line, and from tidelands on the W to the E boundary of property owned by Breazeale, Kiderlin, Millwards, Garlets, et al., and also including the Bayview Cemetery.
(2) An area lying south of the city limits of Burlington, more particularly described as follows:
That area bordered on the N by the S city limits of the city of Burlington, running W to Washington State Highway No. 99, thence S along Washington State Highway No. 99 to the intersection of Highway No. 99 and Pease Road; thence along Pease Road and bordered on the S and E by Pease Road to the intersection of Pease Road and the city limits of the City of Burlington, County of Skagit, Washington.
(3) An area generally known as “Cape Horn on the Skagit Division No. 2,” more particularly described as follows:
Government Lots 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 15, Section 12, Township 35 N, R 7 E.W.M., and Government Lot 3, Section 7, Township 35 N, R 8 E.W.M., more particularly described in Volume 8 of Plats, Page 92 through 97, entitled “Cape Horn on the Skagit,” and that area described as Government Lots 6, 7, 8 and 15, Section 12, Township 35 N, R 8 E.W.M., and Government Lot 5, Section 7, Township 35 N, R 8 E.W.M., more particularly described and recorded in Volume 8 of Plats, Pages 14 through 17, entitled “Cape Horn on the Skagit Division No. 2.”
(4) An area generally known as “Cedargrove on the Skagit” and more particularly described as follows:
This plat of “Cedargrove on the Skagit” embraces portions of Sections 14 and 15, Township 35 N, R 8 E.W.M., in Skagit County, Washington, more particularly described as follows:
Government Lot 9 in Section 15; the SW quarter of the NW quarter; the NW quarter of the SE quarter of the NW quarter; the SW quarter of the NE quarter of the NW quarter; the W 60 feet of the SW quarter of the SE quarter of the NW quarter and that portion of the W 60 feet of the E half of the SW quarter lying N of the South Skagit Highway, ALL in Section 14.
That portion of the NW quarter of the NE quarter of the NW quarter of Section 14 described as follows: Beginning at the SW corner of said subdivision; thence E along the S line of said subdivision 400 feet; thence N parallel with the W line of said subdivision 250 feet; thence NW to a point on the W line of said subdivision lying 400 feet N along said W line from the Point of Beginning; thence S along said W line 400 feet to the Point of Beginning.
ALSO Government Lot 2 in Section 14 EXCEPT that portion lying N and W of a boundary line described as follows: Beginning at the NE corner of said lot; thence S along the E line of said lot to the S line of the N 310 feet in width of said lot; thence W along the said S line 30 feet, more or less, to the W line of the E 30 feet in width of said lot; thence S along said W line to the S line of the N 470 feet in width of said lot; thence W along said S line to the W boundary of said lot.
(5) All lands located within one-half mile of the buildings or grounds of the Fidalgo School, Anacortes Public School District.
(6) An area generally known as “Shangri-La on the Skagit” and more particularly described as:
Portions of Government Lots 1, 2 and 3, Section 13, Township 35 N, R 6 E.W.M., and the Skagit River, joining and lying S of the above described plat and area.

7.12.020 Penalty.
Any person who shall violate SCC 7.12.010 shall be guilty of a misdemeanor punishable by imprisonment up to 90 days in the Skagit County Jail, or a fine of not more than $300 or both such fine and imprisonment. (Ord. R20020080 (part))
