10.04.010 Adoption by reference.
A. The "Washington Model Traffic Ordinance," Chapter 308-330 WAC, is adopted by reference as the traffic ordinance of the city as if fully set forth in this chapter, together with all statutes and regulations incorporated by reference and all penalties. This includes all future amendments, additions, and repeals.
B. For purposes of the Washington Model Traffic Ordinance, which has been adopted by the city, the public works director shall perform the duties of traffic engineer. (Ord. 1117, 2004: Ord. 1020 §1, 1996)
10.04.030 Disposition of fines.
All fines or forfeitures collected from infractions or arising from a violation of any of the provisions of this chapter shall be paid and distributed in accordance with state and local laws. (Ord. 1238 §1A, 2011: Ord. 785 §3, 1980)
10.04.040 Official misconduct.
Failure, refusal or neglect on the part of any judicial or other officer or employee receiving or having custody of any such fine, either before or after a deposit into the proper funds, to comply with the provisions of Section 10.04.030 shall constitute misconduct and shall be grounds for removal, provided appropriate removal action is taken pursuant to state law relating to removal of public officials. 10.04.050 Filing of ordinance.
One copy of the Washington State Model Traffic Ordinance shall be available for use and examination by the public with the city clerk/treasurer at City Hall, pursuant to RCW 35.21.180. (Ord. 1238 §1C, 2011: Ord. 785 §5, 1980)
