10.15.010 Speed limit on Town streets.

The maximum speed limit on all Town streets shall be twenty (20) miles per hour unless otherwise posted.

The maximum speed limit when passing school or playground crosswalks shall be twenty (20) miles per hour, and shall be fully posted with standard school speed limit signs or standard playground speed limit signs. The speed zone at the crosswalk shall extend three hundred (300) feet either side from the marked crosswalk. [Ord. 99.13 § 1, 1999; Ord. 90.5 § 1, 1990].

10.15.020 Violation – Penalty.

A violation of speed limit as set forth herein shall be an infraction and subject to penalties as prescribed in the State of Washington. [Ord. 99.13 § 3, 1999; Ord. 90.5 § 2, 1990].

10.15.030 Church Street speed limit.

A. The speed limit on SR 165, Church Street, from mile post 16.47 to mile post 17.28 is reduced to twenty-five (25) miles per hour.

B. The enforcement and penalties shall be as prescribed by the Model Traffic Ordinance previously adopted by the Town. [Ord. 2006.17 §§ 2, 4, 2006].

10.15.040 Cothary Street speed limit.

A speed limit of fifteen (15) miles per hour is established for the entire length of Cothary Street, Wilkeson, Pierce County, Washington. [Ord. 2008.01 § 1, 2008].
