VOLCANO EMERGENCY FUND

3.50.010 Fund created—Purpose.
There is created a special fund to be known as the volcano emergency fund. The money in the fund shall be used to pay expenses of any nature incurred by the city as a result of the emergency created by the eruption of the Mount St. Helens volcano on May 18, 1980, and the resulting ash fallout. (Ord. 2420 § 1 (part), 1980).
3.50.020 Source of funds.
Money to be deposited in the volcano emergency fund shall consist of revenue received by the city as emergency funds, however designated, from state and federal grants and loans and from any other sources, because of the Mount St. Helens volcano eruption and the resulting ash fallout; and from allocations and transfers of money from any available source to such fund as may be made from time to time by the Yakima city council. (Ord. 2420 § 1 (part), 1980).
3.50.030 Expenditures.
Expenditures from the volcano emergency fund shall be made only for the purpose specified in Section 3.50.010. Money from such fund may be expended pursuant to an ordinance appropriating money for specified expenditures, pursuant to other authorization of the city council or pursuant to other authority granted by applicable laws for the expenditure of such emergency fund.
