3.40.010 Marriage License – Issuance Fee.

There is hereby imposed upon the issuance of marriage licenses by Yakima County a fee in the sum of $8.00, which shall be in excess of the fees prescribed in RCW 36.18.010 and which shall be collected by the county auditor and maintained in a separate account as provided in RCW 26.12.220.

3.40.020 Marriage License – Additional Fee.

In addition to the fee imposed by Section 3.40.010, there is hereby imposed upon the issuance of marriage licenses by Yakima County a fee in the sum of $15.00, which fee shall be collected by the county auditor and shall be maintained in a separate account as provided in RCW 26.12.220.

3.40.030 Fee for Superior Court Cases Filed Under Title 26 RCW.

There is hereby imposed a surcharge of $20.00 on all superior court cases filed under Title 26 RCW. Such fee shall be collected by the county auditor and shall be maintained in a separate account as provided in RCW 26.12.220.

3.40.040 Separate Account Defined.

The “separate account” referred to in the various sections of this chapter shall be one account created in compliance with RCW 26.12.220 unless the county auditor or Washington State Examiner determines that commingling of the various fees provided for in this chapter is not in compliance with state law.

3.40.050 Fee for Use of Family Court Facilitator.

The superior court may impose a user fee not to exceed $100.00 per visit for use of the family court facilitator. Such fee shall be maintained in a separate account as provided in RCW 26.12.220.

3.40.060 Fee for Appeals of Arbitration Awards.

The clerk of the superior court shall collect a fee of $250.00 for filing a request for trial de novo of an arbitration award.

3.40.070 Fee for Request for Mandatory Arbitration.

(1)    There is imposed a fee in the amount of $200.00 for the filing, in Superior Court, of a request for mandatory arbitration, which fee shall be assessed against the party filing a statement of arbitrability. The fee so collected shall be credited to the Superior Court budget for purpose of paying the cost of the mandatory arbitration program pursuant to RCW 36.18.060(23).

(2)    The fees set forth in subsection (1) of this section shall be adjusted automatically whenever the Washington State Legislature approves an increase in the maximum fee.
