It is unlawful for any person under the age of 18 years to enter, visit, be in or remain in any gambling house or place where gambling is conducted or is being carried on, or in any public billiard or pool room in the city. (1964 Code § 17.11.)
9.76.020 Pool rooms and gambling places – Allowing minors to enter prohibited.
It is unlawful for any person, either as proprietor or employee in charge or control of any place where gambling is conducted or is being carried on or of any public billiard or pool room in the city, to suffer, allow or permit any person under the age of 18 to visit, enter or remain in a place where gambling is conducted or is being carried on or in such public billiard or pool room. 9.76.030 Pool rooms and gambling places – Sending minor on premises prohibited.
It is unlawful for any person either as employer or otherwise to send or direct any person under the age of 18 years either to any place where gambling is conducted or is being carried on or to any public billiard or pool room in the city. (1964 Code § 17.11.)
9.76.040 Pool rooms or gambling places – Minor permitted when.
Except where prohibited by any law or regulation pertaining to premises upon which alcoholic beverages are served or consumed, a person under the age of 18 years of age may, at hours other than between 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m., enter, visit or remain in any public billiard or pool room, licensed as such under this code, if such minor is accompanied by his parent or legal guardian, and such parent or guardian is in such proximity as to be able to exercise supervision over such minor at all such times as such minor is in or about such pool room; if not so accompanied, such minor shall be prohibited from entry as provided in CMC 9.76.010.
No proprietor or employee in charge or control of any poolroom shall permit or allow any person under 18 years of age to enter, visit or remain in or about any poolroom except when such minor is accompanied by his parent or legal guardian, and no proprietor or person in charge or control of any public billiard or pool room, licensed as such under this code, shall permit or allow any person under the age of 18 years of age, whether or not accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, to enter or remain in such poolroom between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. of any day for the purpose of engaging in or taking part in any game of any kind, and no such person shall enter or remain in such pool room between such hours for such purpose.
