§6150 UNLAWFUL TO ATTACH SIGN TO POLE

It is unlawful for any person to attach or affix any sign, poster or advertisement on any pole on which wires for the transmission or carrying electricity are strung or supported. (Ord. 175, §1, adopted 1908)

§6151 UNLAWFUL TO DRIVE TACKS OR NAILS INTO POLE

It shall be unlawful for any person to drive any tacks, nails or spikes into any electric light, telephone or telegraph pole on which wires for carrying or transmission of electricity or electric current are strung or attached. (Ord. 175, §2, adopted 1908)

§6152 EXCEPTION OF EMPLOYEE OF OWNER OF POLE

This Article shall not apply to regularly employed and authorized employees of the municipal electric light system or of the telephone or telegraph companies owning or operating such poles when acting in the course of their employment as such. (Ord. 175, §3, adopted 1908)

§6153 PENALTY FOR VIOLATION

Any person violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction shall be punished by a fine of not less than five dollars ($5.00) nor more than twenty five dollars ($25.00) or by imprisonment of not more than ten (10) days or by both such fine and imprisonment.
