THROUGH STREETS

Those streets or parts of streets as fixed by resolution of the city council heretofore or hereafter adopted are hereby declared to be through streets or through highways within the city. [Code 1959 § 11.65; prior code § 16-106].
10.35.020 Placing signs.
The traffic authority shall erect a stop sign on every street intersecting any through street or portion thereof at or near the entrance of such intersecting street to such through street or highway. Every such sign shall conform as to type, location and placement and in all other respects to the requirements of the State Vehicle Code relating to stop signs. 10.35.030 Stopping at entrance to through streets.
When a stop sign is erected and in place as provided in this chapter at or near the entrance to any through street or highway, every driver or operator of a vehicle shall stop such vehicle at or near the entrance to such through street or highway before entering the same, except when directed to proceed by an authorized officer or traffic-control signal.
