POLICE DEPARTMENT
NARCOTICS FUND

3.80.030 Obligation to pay fine.
3.80.010 Created.
There is created within the police department budget a separate fund to be known as the police department narcotics fund. Funds deposited to this fund shall be used exclusively for the purpose of investigation and prosecution of narcotics violations within the limits of the city. (Ord. 1085 § 3, 1983).
3.80.020 Expenditures.
Any expenditures from this fund shall be discretionary with the chief of police without prior approval or restraint but with full accountability to the city treasurer. (Ord. 1085 § 4, 1983).
3.80.030 Obligation to pay fine.
The fact that the penalty described in GMC 3.80.040 is imposed on each case shall not in any way reduce the obligation of the accused to pay the fine prescribed by the court. (Ord. 1085 § 2, 1983).
3.80.040 Violation – Penalty.
In any case where an accused has been convicted of possession of marijuana or other controlled substances, there shall be in addition to any fine levied, a penalty in the amount of $100.00, no part of which shall be suspended, which shall be paid to the police department’s narcotics fund. (Ord. 1085 § 1, 1983).
