SPEED LIMITS

10.24.010 Speed limit on streets adjoining parks.
The maximum speed for travel by vehicles on streets adjoining parks, while children are present, is fixed at 20 miles per hour. Said streets are as follows:
A. Cedar Street from East Second Street to East Third Street (Eastside Park);
B. Douglas Street from East Second Street to East Third Street (Eastside Park);
C. East Third Street from Cedar Street to Douglas Street (Eastside Park);
D. West Second Street from railroad right-of-way to Avenue G (Westside Park);
E. Avenue G from West Second Street to West Main Street (Westside Park);
F. West Main Street from Avenue G to railroad right-of-way (Westside Park);
G. Avenue J from West Third Street to West Second Street (Euclid Park);
H. West Second Street from Euclid Road to Avenue J (Euclid Park);
I. Euclid Road from West Second Street to West Third Street (Euclid Park);
J. West Fifth Street from Stassen Way to east line of Dykstra Park (Dykstra Park). (Ord. 2007-10 § 2).
10.24.020 Speed limit on streets adjoining school grounds.
The maximum speed for travel by vehicles on streets adjoining school grounds, while children are present and at such other times as the speed limit signs may be flagged by school authorities, is fixed at 20 miles per hour. Said streets are as follows:
A. Fir Street from East Wine Country Road to East Fourth Street;
B. West Second Street from Avenue G to Westridge Drive;
C. Euclid Road from West Second Street to Bonneview/Forsell intersection;
D. Elm Street from East Wine Country Road to East Bonnieview;
E. West Fifth Street from Hillcrest to Wyant Way;
F. Hillcrest from West Second Street to West Fifth Street. (Ord. 2007-10 § 2).
10.24.025 Speed limit – Wine Country Road.
The maximum speed for travel by vehicles on Wine Country Road from Euclid Road west to the west city limits shall be 35 miles per hour and from 500 feet east of Fir Street east to the city limits shall be 35 miles per hour. (Ord. 2020-4 § 1; Ord. 2019-8 § 1; Ord. 2009-1 § 1; Ord. 2007-10 § 2).
10.24.027 Speed limit – Forsell Road.
The maximum speed limit on Forsell Road from 50 yards west of Wallace Way to Puterbaugh Road is 35 miles per hour. (Ord. 2007-10 § 2).
10.24.028 Speed limit – West Stover Road.
The maximum speed limit on West Stover Road from Wallace Way to the east city limits is 35 miles per hour. (Ord. 2007-10 § 2).
10.24.029 Speed limit – Woodall, Bethany and East Stover Roads.
The maximum speed limit on Woodall Road from East Stover Road north to city limits, Bethany Road from the curve north to city limits, and East Stover Road from Wine Country Road east to city limits is 35 miles per hour. (Ord. 2007-10 § 2).
10.24.030 Violation – Penalty.
Any person found guilty of exceeding the maximum speed as provided in this chapter shall be found to have committed a civil infraction and shall be fined in accordance with the State of Washington Infraction Bail Schedule. (Ord. 2007-10 § 2).
