ARTERIAL HIGHWAYS

10.16.010 Designated.
The streets and parts of streets designated as arterial highways for the purposes of this chapter shall be designated by the city engineer. The city engineer will maintain a current map with major street classifications. (Ord. 3675 § 2, 2008; prior code § 12.36.010)
10.16.020 Stopping on entering.
The operator of any vehicle entering upon any arterial highway shall come to a complete stop before entering such arterial highway. (Ord. 3675 § 2, 2008; prior code § 12.36.020)
10.16.030 Entering intersection or crosswalk—Stop when traffic obstructed.
No driver shall enter an intersection or a marked crosswalk unless there is sufficient space on the other side of the intersection or crosswalk to accommodate the vehicle he is operating without obstructing the passage of other vehicles or pedestrians, notwithstanding any traffic-control signal indication to proceed.
