TRUCK ROUTE

10.24.030 Violation – Penalty.
10.24.010 Designated.
It shall be unlawful for a truck, truck combination or a vehicle with an authorized load capacity of 20,000 pounds or more to drive on any street in the city of Kittitas, including all of Alpine/Rainier Estates, except for Main Street and Patrick Avenue. This shall constitute the truck route for the city of Kittitas. (Ord. 03-712 § 1; Ord. 98-565 § 2).
10.24.015 Definitions.
The following definitions shall apply in the interpretation and enforcement of this chapter:
(1) “Vehicle” as provided in this chapter shall mean commercial vehicle(s), not to include recreational vehicle(s). (Ord. 02-680 § 1).
10.24.020 Exemptions.
The only exemptions from KMC 10.24.010 are vehicles in the process of a delivery or pick-up such as garbage trucks, delivery trucks or school buses provided such vehicles may not be parked on any city street in excess of two hours. (Ord. 98-565 § 3).
10.24.030 Violation – Penalty.
Any violation of this chapter will be subject to a civil penalty of $100.00 and impound as outlined in Chapter 10.20 KMC, Model Traffic Ordinance. (Ord. 98-565 § 4).
