18.36.010 Intent.

The intent of the C-2 district is to provide an area for highway-oriented commercial uses. Areas typical of this district are along major arterials. (Ord. 660 § 12.01, 1985)

18.36.020 Uses allowed outright.

In the C-2 district the following uses and their accessory uses and structures are allowed outright:

A. Auto rentals;

B. Auto repair shops;

C. Auto service stations;

D. Bakeries;

E. Banks and other financial buildings;

F. Carwashes;

G. Churches;

H. Congregate living facilities and dormitories by planned unit development subject to Chapter 18.67 OMC;

I. Day care centers (agency);

J. Day care centers (family);

K. Eating and drinking establishments;

L. Farm supply centers;

M. Frozen food lockers;

N. Gift shops;

O. Hazardous waste treatment and storage facility, on-site;

P. Home occupations as permitted by Chapter 18.68 OMC;

Q. Hotels;

R. Laundries and cleaning businesses;

S. Medical buildings;

T. Micro processing/manufacturing establishments as permitted by Chapter 18.66 OMC;

U. Mortuaries;

V. Motels;

W. Nurseries and greenhouses;

X. Office buildings;

Y. Pawn shops;

Z. Pet shops and grooming businesses;

AA. Printing establishments;

BB. Produce outlets;

CC. Professional buildings;

DD. Rental outlets;

EE. Repair shops;

FF. Retail stores;

GG. Storage buildings;

HH. Tourist information centers;

II. Transportation facilities;

18.36.030 Uses allowed by conditional use permit.

In the C-2 district the following uses and their accessory uses and structures are allowed by conditional use permit issued in accordance with Chapter 18.92 OMC:

A. Apartments;

B. Auto rentals;

C. Auto dealerships;

D. Farm equipment dealerships;

E. Lumber and building supply stores;

F. Mobile/manufactured home dealerships;

G. Parks;

H. Private clubs and lodges;

I. Public buildings;

J. Radio stations;

K. Recreational facilities;

L. Recreational vehicle parks;

M. Shopping centers and malls;

N. Theaters and auditoriums;

O. Utilities and communication structures;

18.36.040 General standards.

Chapters 18.56 through 18.84 OMC, inclusive, list general standards that apply to uses and structures within this district. (Ord. 660 § 12.04, 1985)

18.36.050 Exceptions.

Nonconforming residential uses existing at the time of the adoption of the ordinance codified in this title may be enlarged, expanded or replaced upon the issuance of a conditional use permit in accordance with Chapter 18.92 OMC. (Ord. 660 § 12.05, 1985)
