18.40.010 Intent.

The intent of the C-3 district is to provide for areas that have services needed by the traveling public. (Ord. 660 § 13.01, 1985)

18.40.020 Uses allowed outright.

In the C-3 district the following uses and their accessory uses and structures are allowed outright:

A. Auto rental;

B. Auto service stations;

C. Bakeries;

D. Barber and beauty shops;

E. Churches;

F. Day care centers (agency);

G. Day care centers (family);

H. Eating and drinking establishments;

I. Gift shops;

J. Hazardous waste treatment and storage facility, on-site;

K. Home occupations as permitted by Chapter 18.68 OMC;

L. Hotels;

M. Laundries and cleaning businesses;

N. Medical buildings;

O. Motels;

P. Multifamily residences as a planned unit development;

Q. Produce outlets;

R. Professional buildings;

S. Retail stores;

18.40.030 Uses allowed by conditional use permit.

In the C-3 district the following uses and their accessory uses and structures are allowed by conditional use permit issued in accordance with Chapter 18.92 OMC:

A. Carwashes;

B. Parks;

C. Public buildings;

D. Public utilities facilities;

E. Radio stations;

F. Recreational facilities;

G. Recreational vehicle parks;

H. Shopping centers and malls;

I. Theaters and auditoriums;

J. Transportation facilities;

18.40.040 General standards.

Chapters 18.56 through 18.84 OMC, inclusive, list general standards that apply to uses and structures within this district. (Ord. 660 § 13.04, 1985)

18.40.050 Exceptions.

Nonconforming residential uses existing at the time of the adoption of the ordinance codified in this title may be enlarged, expanded or replaced upon the issuance of a conditional use permit in accordance with Chapter 18.92 OMC. (Ord. 660 § 13.05, 1985)
