1.04.010 Election districts created.

The geographical area of the city of Yakima is divided into seven districts for the purpose of electing city council members to district positions pursuant to Article II, Section 1 of the Yakima City Charter. 1.04.020 Election district map adopted.

The map designating the boundaries of the election districts, and identifying each district by number, entitled “Yakima City Council Election Districts 2022,” as adopted by the city council on April 19, 2022, and filed in the office of the Yakima city clerk, is hereby adopted as the official election district map of the city of Yakima. 1.04.030 Election district numbers—District position numbers.

In accordance with a designation of district position numbers as made by the Yakima city clerk as required by the City Charter, the election districts are hereby identified as Districts 1 through 7, as they are depicted and identified on the map adopted by YMC 1.04.020, and the city council district positions are hereby designated as district positions 1 through 7 to correspond to those respective election districts.
