PATHS AND TRAILS RESERVE FUND

3.55.010 Fund created—Purposes.
There is created a special fund to be known as the paths and trails reserve fund. The money in such fund shall be expended only for the purposes of planning, accommodating, establishing and maintaining paths or trails for pedestrians, equestrians, or bicycles within, along or across city street rights-of-way in accordance with existing provisions of RCW Chapter 47.30 or as the same may be amended from time to time. (Ord. 2324 § 1 (part), 1979).
3.55.020 Source of funds.
Money to be deposited in the paths and trails reserve fund shall consist of that portion of Motor Vehicle Gas Tax Funds required by law to be expended for the purposes specified in Section 3.55.010 of this chapter, together with revenue from such other sources as may be designated from time to time by appropriate action of the city council. (Ord. 2324 § 1 (part), 1979).
3.55.030 Expenditures.
Expenditures from the paths and trails reserve fund shall be made only for the purposes specified in Section 3.55.010 of this chapter. No expenditure shall be made from such fund unless the Yakima city council approves such expenditure by including an appropriation for such purpose in the budget, or by enacting an ordinance appropriating money within such fund for transfer to and expenditure from the city street fund.
